Brown Sugar Nut Granola Bars

brownsugargranolaThis tasty nutty treat is great for breakfasts, snacks, picnics, and parties.


  • 2 cups oats
  • 1/4 cup cashews
  • 1/8 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • Vanilla to taste
  • Honey to bind


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper.
  3. Combine all of the above ingredients except the honey and mix them together in a large bowl. Add just enough honey to bind everything together.
  4. Firmly press the wet granola into the pan.
  5. Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and slightly firm to touch. Let cool completely and cut into squares or rectangles.
